January 2024 – The Avicenna Foundation Launch event
The Avicenna Foundation hosted it’s reception launch event at the House of Commons with over 160 guests from diverse backgrounds and industries including politics, the charity sector, business and many others. Our current scholars played a pivotal role in the event and guests relayed how impactful the event was and left them with hope for the future. Guest speakers included Imam Asim Hafiz (OBE) C0-founder of the Avicenna Foundation; Lord Ken Macdonald , Advisor to the Foundation and Sir Mufti Hamid Patel, Patron to the Foundation. September 2023 – The Avicenna Foundation Induction day
An induction day was organised with the support of KPMG in Canary Wharf for the first cohort of Avicenna Foundation scholars. The day involved sharing information and interactive activities to build rapport and a bond between the cohort.
In addition, guest speakers were invited to share insights and motivate the scholars including Bano Sheikh who is the an Audit partner at KPMG and the first Muslim women to make partner at a big four company.
Lord Ken Macdonald, international lawyer and Former Director of Public Prosecutions spoke to the scholars’ about their characters and how they hold themselves in any given situation. The full video of the induction day can be seen here.
