Who can apply for the Avicenna Foundation Scholarship?
– British (as well as a resident of the UK)
– First-year students only (Whilst age is not an issue, we consider those going into university in their first year of study)
– Those studying social sciences, humanities, and any other fields related to politics/ policy/ leadership/change-making. This remains broad and other subjects will be taken into consideration if there is a clear demonstration of how it can lead to a career that will enable change in British society e.g. Studying environmental science can lead to a political career.
– Those who are achieving high academically
– Those already involved in the community and have a thorough understanding of the problems impacting British Muslims
– Those who can show a sustained commitment to the communal development of British society.
Unfortunately, we cannot offer you a scholarship if:
An Avicenna scholar is a young person with outstanding intellect, character, leadership, and commitment to service.
